Artists Jonah Freeman, Justin Lowe and Jennifer Herrema will stage a sprawling sonic, filmic and architectural exhibition this time taking over Red Bull Studios New York with Scenario In The Shade. Opening to the public September 12th – December 6, 2015.

The exhibition will feature contributions from Devendra Banhart, Lizzi Bougatsos (I.U.D.), Kurt Vile, Jennifer Herrema, Kurt Midness with Brian McKinley and Nadav Eisenman (Royal Trux, RTX, Black Bananas), Neil Hagerty (Royal Trux, Howling Hex, NMH), Alexis Taylor (Hot Chip), Benjamin Goldwasser and Andrew Van Wyngarden (MGMT), Simon O’Connor (Simon Doom), Bobby Gillespie/Andrew Innes (Primal Scream), Mario Rubalcaba (OFF, Earthless), Grant Garretson and H.R. (Bad Brains) Stephen Tanner (Harvey Milk), Cameron Stallones (Sun Araw), Mira Billotte (White Magic), Andy MacLeod, Endless Boogie, Mayo Thompson (Red Krayola), and John Sherman (Red Fang).

Scenario in the Shade explores the history of youth subcultures of the San San International through a mise-en-scène of objects, architectural environments, and a 30 minute faux-ethnographic science fiction film, presented in the artist’s signature labyrinth of immersive interiors.

Freeman/Lowe have been collaborating since 2007. Previous exhibitions include the Taipei Biennial, Taipei, Taiwan (2014); SISTER MOIRE, Winfield House, London, UK (2013); Artichoke Underground Art Basel – Unlimited, Basel, Switzerland (2013); Stray Light Grey, Marlborough Chelsea, NY (2012), Black Acid Co-op, Deitch Projects, New York, NY (2009); Hello Meth Lab In The Sun, commissioned by Ballroom Marfa, Marfa, TX (2008).
